My version of Photoshop is CS5.5 not the newest but it works a treat, this tutorial isn't aimed at true beginners of Photoshop, for that there is YouTube! This is for people that are dabbling or have the hang of things mostly.
o.O I didn't think it would be this big!! SERIOUSLY almost 10mb, sorry if it takes long to load my lovelies I wanted to make it as understandable as possible.
This is the third part!! Shading.
PART 1 - Lineart with the grid system - PART 2 - Colouring - PART 3 - Your looking at it! (or not if it's still loading )
I like how your tutorials are easy to understand, you don't skip steps and have notes regarding any doubts or giving extra info. Very well organized too. I've never used the gradient tool to shade, I might try it now that I understand it a little better.
Ah no problem, after I selected all the areas I wanted to I changed tools to the 'gradient tool' it's on the same button as the 'fill bucket tool', then I dragged my tool across the screen, it works just as well if you want to use the paintbrush tool to fill in the areas you have selected or the bucket (fill) tool.
Yup, if you click on the lasso tool you can select sections, if you don't click 'add to section' at the top as described then it will just reselect different bits instead of keeping the last selected bit. I'm doing a video tutorial as well so hopefully that will help.
